Our old friends from JK Defence had a nice selection of PenCott™ camouflaged kit and clothing under their Sabre® brand at the IWA 2013.
This year’s IWA & Outdoor Classics trade fair in Nurmeberg, Germany (8-11 March) will include, for the first time, an extensive representation of the PenCott family of camouflage patterns.
Stop by the Hyde Definition booth to see samples of the full range of PenCott printed fabrics and materials – as well as garments and gear in PenCott camouflage from several manufacturers from around the globe. Also featured will be the first public appearance of PenCott printed webbing from Texcel Industries.
PenCott™ camouflaged soldier clothing and equipment will be presented by Emirates Defense Technology at the IDEX 2013 exhibition in Abu Dhabi – February 17-21.
Emirates Defense Technology have been marketing the PenCott patterns in the Middle East, and the “Sandstorm” pattern is now under serious consideration to be the new camouflage pattern for the United Arab Emirates armed forces.
EDT will be showcasing a head-to-toe PenCott-Sandstorm™ camouflaged solution, consisting of combat uniforms, load-bearing equipment, ballistic vests, helmet covers, boots and pouches. The means also exists to apply the pattern to vehicles and aircraft for a fully integrated, national camouflage program.
For a sneak preview, check out the promotional video prepared by EDT.

Indonesian entrepreneur, military uniform collector, and self-confessed camouflage addict, Arie Setya Yudha, passed a significant milestone last week when the “H.45” retail store opened as his agent in Jakarta.
Arie’s company Molay Military Uniform Division aims to provide comfortable, durable, efficient military-grade garments and gear for real-deal and mil-sim tactical use. The company’s focus is 100% on function not fashion and every piece in their range is designed and crafted in Indonesia, using top quality materials sourced globally.
The H.45 store takes its name from the first letter of a well-known Indonesian war cry, and from 1945 – the year that Indonesia declared its independence from The Netherlands. And .45 is of course also the calibre of a certain legendary pistol. Arie and his business partners put all of these elements together, and created what is probably the coolest and most modern-looking store for tactical goods that we have ever seen.
Store details:
H.45
Jl Bulevard Artha Gading, Sentra Bisnis Artha Gading
Blok A 7D no 9
Kelapa Gading, Jakarta 14240
tel. 021 458 572 36
There are plans afoot for H.45 to also have an e-commerce enabled website in the not too distant future.
In the meantime, Molay Military Uniform Division has also had success in designing a new tactical uniform for the Indonesian National Police’s “Gegana” SWAT unit – known as the Peacekeeping Uniform (or PKU).
The PKU is also available commercially in PenCott camouflage patterns, and is already selling well in Indonesia and beyond.
Check out Molay Military Uniform Division on Facebook for full details about the PKU.

A few days ago EGL posted an intriguing photo on their Facebook page showing the beginnings of an unidentified project using 500D Cordura “Badlands” fabric…
A day or so later they posted a second photo, this time showing the work-in-progress status of the project – but still no hints as to what it would eventually be…
Finally, they posted a photo of the finished product…
And the mystery was cleared up by an article on Soldier Systems Daily explaining that it is an Engineering Proof-of-Concept for a stock-mounted Blow Out Kit with CAT Tourniquet pocket, designed to attach to an AK-type skeleton stock.
